BBC triple award winner Tony Kofi joins Chris Biscoe in an exploration of the musical legacies of Charles Mingus and Eric Dolphy at the Herts Jazz Club on Sunday.
Featuring arrangements specially developed for the Chris Biscoe Profiles Quartet, the repertoire will include music written by both Mingus and Dolphy and pieces by Oliver Nelson, Fats Waller and Monk.
Saxophonist and clarinetist Chris, a Hertfordshire man by birth, will be joined by Larry Bartley on bass and Stu Butterfield on drums at the club which meets at 7.45pm at Campus West, Welwyn Garden City.
Tickets are �5 for students and under 21s, �10 online at www.welhat.gov.uk/cw and �12 on the door.
