Bandleader and trumpeter Chris Smith is returning to the Radlett Centre with his show entitled The Big Band this Sunday.

It follows a national tour and the show will include classic big band and swing songs from artists such as Frank Sinatra and Glenn Miller through to Jools Holland style.

Chris, who lives in Radlett, will be joined by his wife, vocalist and alto saxophonist Simone Smith, who has performed with prestigious artists such as Paul Weller, John Williams, the Ivy Benson Show Band and a saxophone solo on the Paul Merton TV show.

Bandleader, Chris, also plays piano and is well-known in the jazz world for his arrangements and compositions. His varied career includes performances on Top of the Pops, Breakfast TV with Herb Miller (Glenn Miller’s brother) and a solo performance on the Michael Caine film Silver Bears.

The performance begins at 7.30pm and tickets at £17 with concessions £16 are available from the box office on 01923 859291.
