Iconic jazz standards made famous by Benny Goodman will be revisited by Peter Long’s ensemble at Herts Jazz Club this Sunday, November 29.
Benny and Beyond will use the classic clarinet and vibes-led quintet format with the ensemble also investigating the possibilities of the line-up when applied to other later idioms, AirMail Special, Avalon, and Flying Home
The Goodman treatment will also be applied, amongst others, to Horace Silver, Billy Strayhorn, and Kool And The Gang!
The evening at the Hawthorne Theatre, Welwyn Garden City, gets underway at 7.30 pm and tickets in advance from here are £3 students/£8 members/£10 concessions/£11 full.
On the door they are £5 students/£9 members/£12 concessions/£13 full.
