Beans on Toast headlines The Horn in St Albans tonight as its Independent Venue Week show.
At least 85 venues are participating in the designated week which celebrates a seven-day series of gigs running until this Sunday.
Cult legend Beans on Toast has five studio albums in his back catalogue and provokes thoughts on subjects as diverse as Prince Harry to popcorn, full moons to fracking.
A singer, storyteller and guitar player, last year was his biggest year yet.
Support comes from four-piece punk band Saving Sebastian, folk duo Broken Boat and acoustic twosome Two Beats Apart.
