To celebrate the anniversary, Killigrew Drama Society (KIDS) has dusted down its very first pantomime script from 1978 and is putting on Goldilocks and the Three Bears again.

The pantomime, which has matinee and evening performances and runs from next Thursday, January 17, until Saturday, January 19, is to raise money for the school in Chiswell Green.

Laura Dove, who has trod the boards for the past seven years, is the director this year and the script has a circus theme which is guaranteed to appeal to children. But it also has all the traditional panto fun with men dressed as women, women dressed as men, a hero, a heroine, a baddie and even clowns.
