NO chance of getting to the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition? An alternative is being held locally and opens on Saturday.
The McNeill Gallery in Watling Street, Radlett, is showing new work from the latest graduates from Herts and Wimbledon Schools of Art at its Not The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition which runs until August 20.
Among the works will be Nikel Kirsh’s portraits and Emily Robson’s figurative paintings, both being represented by an art gallery for the first time.
Wildlife paintings by Darryn Eggleton and fashion paints by Estelle Rocca will be hung next to new sculptures from Brazilian-based Gaby Ortero and Herts-based artist-sculptor Dereck Howarth, a student under Henry Moore. There will also be rare oil paintings by the humorist artist Tim Bulmer, better known for his watercolours and etchings.
