PETER Pan soared to such great heights at Christmas that the Arena admits it will be a hard act to follow. But the St Albans theatre has a couple of spectacular shows up its sleeve to follow the smash-hit pantomime starring Leslie Grantham from Eastenders and Dani Harmer, CBBC's Tracy Beaker. The first is Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat which runs from Monday, March 13, until Saturday, March 18. The Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber family musical is making a return visit to the Arena and continues to enjoy huge success throughout the country. It toured for 12 years from 1979 to 1991, attracting an audience of more than five million fans all over the country and, in 1997, it hit the road again, playing to packed houses at every performance. The production has gone into The Guinness Book of Records as the longest-running touring stage musical of all time. The score includes Close Ev'ry Door to Me, One More Angel and Any Dream Will Do. Tickets are already on sale at the Arena box office on 01727 844488, ranging from £13.50 to £25.50 with concessions and group discounts available. Joseph will be followed by Snow White on Ice from Wednesday, April 5, to Saturday, April 8. Brought to the Arena by the Russian Ice Stars, children's tickets are £10 for the entire run and further details can be obtained from the box office on the number above. ää Romance will permeate the Alban Arena when it hosts A Viennese Strauss Gala at 7.30pm on Valentine's Day, Tuesday, February 14. The concert will recreate the nostalgia and romance of the Viennese Festive season and introduce the audience to a bygone age of glamorous soirees and Strauss waltzes. The performance will consist of highlights from some of the greatest operettas of Strauss, Kalman and Lehar including Die Fledermaus, The Merry Widow and many more. Tickets are £17.70 with concessions £1.50 off - and a special Valentine's offer of two for £30 - available from the box office on the number above.
