HIGHLY topical comedian Alistair Barrie headlines The Comedy Club at Havana in St Albans next Thursday, November 4.

Described as being capable of dropping “from the high brow to the gutter in the draw of a breath”, he combines a wide range of material and an easy rapport with the audience.

Opening the evening at the club in Victoria Street is Sol Bernstein, the comic creation of Steve Jameson. The legend is that Sol escaped the Pogroms in Russia, the Nazis in Germany and went on to become the world’s first all-round entertainer – a song and dance man, comedian, magician, actor, jazz musician and impersonator.

MC is Colin Owens who is described as laconic and charming. He talks about his failings, inadequacies, mistakes and general stupidity, tinged with an air of paranoia and insecurity but delivered with confidence and sexual edginess.

The show gets underway at 9pm and tickets are 10 in advance from the ticket hotline 01727 862456 or online at www.hahaheehee.com or 12.50 on the door.
