ONE of the leading tenor sax players in the UK and mainland Europe for nearly two decades, Alex Garnett is appearing with his quartet at Herts Jazz Club on Sunday evening.
Since emerging from the bands of Ray Gelato, Buddy Guy, Dave Cliff, Jools Holland and Van Morrison among others, tenor and alto-sax player Alex has taken the jazz world by storm.
He is semi-resident at Ronnie Scott’s in London and his performance at the jazz club in Campus West, Welwyn Garden City, is part of a national tour promoting his debut CD.
Playing with him will be Ross Stanley on piano, Michael Janisch on bass and Enzo Zirrilli on drums.
The evening begins at 7.45pm and tickets are �10 online at www.welhat.gov.uk/cw, �12 on the door and �5 for students and under 21s.
