OUTSTANDING bassist and member of a great jazz dynasty, Alec Dankworth, is performing at the Herts Jazz Club on Sunday evening.
The double bassist has worked alongside his parents, Sir John Dankworth and Cleo Laine, and spent time on the road with Dave Brubeck.
He is appearing at the club at Campus West, Welwyn Garden City, with his group Spanish Accents with whom he focuses on his love of Spanish music incorporated into a more familiar jazz setting.
Playing with Alec will be Christian Garrick on violin, Mark Lockheart on saxophones, Phil Robson on guitar and Demi Garcia on percussion.
The gig starts at 7.45pm and tickets are �10 online at www.welhat.gov.uk/cw, �12 on the door and �5 for students and under 21s.
