SOUTH African born artist Glynnis Abraham is showing her work in the Radlett Centre from next Monday, September 5, until September 24.
Glynnis moved to England with her family when she was six but Africa is at the root of her art which is largely inspired by that country together with travels to Israel and celebrating her family.
In the 1980s she studied at Watford College of Art before studying art therapy at Goldsmiths in London in her mid-twenties which she put to use as a practising therapist in day centres in Herts and London.
She has had two kidney transplants after years of dialysis but is now able to enjoy her life and her vibrant spirit is reflected in her work.
Glynnis’s Red Earth exhibition can be seen in the Apthorp Gallery at the Radlett Centre.
