Original members of The Beautiful South will be performing the band’s classic songs when they appear at Harpenden Public Halls next Monday, October 24.

The South will be playing such hits as Don’t Marry Her, Perfect 10 and A Little More from the band’s 20 year career when they come on stage at 7.30pm.

When The Beautiful South disbanded in 2007, original members Dave Hemingway and Alison Wheeler went on to form The South and with mainstays Damon Butcher and Gaz Birtles, the nine-piece continued to celebrate the music of The Beautiful South as well as putting out their own debut album Sweet Refrains.

Musician, comedian and author, Mitch Benn, known for his comedy rock songs, appears at the Public Halls next Wednesday, October 26.

Known as a regular contributor to the BBC Radio 4’s satirical programme The Now Show, he has done three further specials on music icons Bob Dylan, David Bowie and Elvis.

Mitch is also the author of two novels Terra And Terra’s World and co-author of The Twitter History Of The World.

The show begins at 7.30pm and tickets are £15.

The Customer Is Always Wrong is the view of award-winning stand-up comedian Jo Caulfield when she takes the stage at the Public Halls next Friday, October 28.

She casts a humorous eye over life’s potential traps, what can go wrong and how to deal with them - and, in some cases, how to make everyone else suffer with you.

The show begins at 7.30pm and tickets are £15.
