YOUTH theatre group RARE Productions is holding open auditions for its forthcoming production of Les Miserables at Sandpit Theatre in Marshalswick on Sunday.
The auditions for the School Edition of Victor Hugo’s novel are being held from 10am to 2pm and are in preparation for the show which runs from October 28 to 30 at the Sandpit Theatre.
Les Miserables follows Jean Valjean’s (Gary Poole) lifelong struggle for redemption and his relentless pursuit by Inspector Javert (Matt Young) who refuses to believe the refugee can change his ways.
Set amid the political and social turmoil of early 19th century France, the show includes such favourites as On My Own and Do You Hear the People Sing?
All material will be provided on the day of the audition so there is nothing to prepare in advance.
