THE Kairos Ensemble Jazz Quartet has been invited back to a St Albans church next week to perform its suite based on The Passion Narrative.
The quartet performed at a successful jazz service at the Dagnall Street Baptist Church in the autumn and are returning at 7.30pm next Friday, April 3.
The group comprises Pete James, keyboards and vocals, Dan Foster, saxophone and flute, Richard Fox, tuba, and Tom Hooper, drums.
The members met in the early nineties while studying at the Royal Academy and City University and formed the ensemble in 2001. They have played three extensive tours in France, have two current CDs and further recordings in the pipeline.
Guest singer for the evening will be Mica Townsend who has sung with the London Community Gospel Choir.
