AFTER two decades of painting, local artist Anthony Lewis is putting on his first display in St Albans main library.
The exhibition, which runs until Sunday, (November 22), features oil and acrylic paints on A4 and A3 canvases.
Of the nine canvases on display at the library on the second level of the Maltings shopping centre, one is black and white. Entitled Cool (pictures), it is a bluesy atmospheric piece that transports viewers back to the twenties.
But Anthony has only one monochrome piece because he has a passion for colours, admitting that he loves bright, over-the-top shades. And while he confesses that the vast majority of his works are copies, they all have a flavour of his own work added.
Anthony is hoping to hold a second exhibition in London at the end of the year.
