YOUNG actors from a secondary school in St Albans recreated the magic of Narnia for their latest production.
110 lower school students from Sandringham School on The Ridgeway performed C. S Lewis's The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe for three nights running at the school's Sandpit Theatre from Thursday last week.
The show followed the adventures of Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy through the wardrobe and into the enchanted world of Narnia, where they met everyone from the friendly Mr Tumnus to the White Witch and Aslan.
Co-director Vickie Bedford said that it was one of the school's best productions yet: "It was a truly magical show, featuring some fantastic performances from the students which really appealed to families and junior school children. The costumes and set designs were also magnificent.
