CAPTAIN Sensible joins forces with 70s glam rockers, The Glitter Band, at a gig at The Horn in St Albans next Thursday, December 9.

The man behind a catalogue of hits from the Rogers and Hammerstein-penned Happy Talk to the Falklands conflict inspired Glad It’s All Over, Captain Sensible is possibly the only man in popular music history to have made a red beret and sunglasses his trademark image.

His career spans nearly 15 years and he continues to perform with the legendary Damned to this day.

He is now touring with The Glitter Band in Another Rock and Roll Christmas bringing two legendary acts together.

The Glitter Men, as the band was originally known, came together in 1972 following Gary Glitter’s breakthrough into the world of glam rock. They accompanied him on each of his tours and television appearances, also racking up seven hits of their own.

By the end of their career with Glitter, they had developed into an act in their own right and they continue to tour Europe and play their hits for fans.

The Glitter Band has recently completed a UK tour when they were joined on stage by 80s superstar Adam Ant, icon Angie Bowie and punk legend Spizz Energi.

Admission on the night is 14.
