COMING-of-age tale An Education is the next movie to be shown by Harpenden Film Society next week.
The film, for which Carey Mulligan was nominated for an Oscar, is based on journalist Lynn Barber’s memoirs of growing up in the sixties and the screenplay was written by Nick Hornby.
Described as the best British film of the year in 2010 by the Sunday Mirror, it is being shown at 8pm next Wednesday, February 2, at Harpenden Public Halls.
Tickets are �4.50, available from the website www.harpendenfilmsociety.co.uk or in person from the Public Halls or WH Smith.
