TWO very different one-act plays are being performed as a double bill by award-winning local theatre group Breakaway in the next two weeks.
Sofa by local playwright Peter Hawes features three couples and Norman the Sex Elephant finding love in the strangest of places – even down the back of a settee.
Bed by Jim Cartwright, the writer of The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, is a more surreal piece which offers a peek into the dreams of a very diverse group of people who find themselves sharing an enormous bed under the malevolent view of a bitter and resentful bedhead.
The plays will be performed at the Abbey Theatre Studio in St Albans at 7.45pm from next Thursday to Saturday, February 9 to 11, and from February 16 to 18.
Tickets and more information are available directly from the theatre on 01727 857861 or online at www.abbeytheatre2.org.uk/whats_on.php
