YOUNG international piano star Mitra Alice Tham is giving the lunchtime concert next Wednesday, January 23, at a city centre church.
Mitra attended the Purcell School then the Royal Academy of Music where she studied under Patsy Toh. She went on to study at the Mannes School of Music, New York, where she graduated with a Master’s degree, studying with the distinguished pianist Jacob Lateiner.
She has a penchant for the works of Bach, Beethoven, Prokofiev and Gershwin, and has achieved critical acclaim for her performances.
The free concert at St Peter’s Church is in aid of Grove House, and starts at 1pm.
