ONE of Tennessee Williams’ most poetic yet disturbing plays is the next production from The Company of Ten.
Opening tonight (Thursday) in the Abbey Theatre Studio in St Albans, the drama group is putting on Suddenly Last Summer which is rarely produced.
Set in the sweltering New Orleans summer of 1951, it tells the story of Sebastian, only child of a wealthy widow, whose death while on holiday in Europe opens the door to an unimagined horror back home.
Performances run from tonight until Saturday (8) and from next Wednesday to Saturday, June 12-18, with a Sunday matinee this weekend at 2.30pm.
For tickets go to www.abbeytheatre.org.uk or alternatively call the box office on 01727 857861.
