After a storming set at the 2013 Herts Jazz Festival, Leon Greening returns to the scene of his triumph on Sunday night.
The Leon Greening Trio will be appearing at Herts Jazz Club in Welwyn Garden City from 7.30pm.
Leon’s playing features echoes of everyone from Bud Powell to Wynton Kelly, Barry Harris and Horace Silver. He is regarded as among the best of the current crop of UK jazz pianists.
Joining Leon on piano will be Adam King, bass, and Steve Brown, drums.
The club is currently meeting in the Hawthorne theatre while refurbishment work is being carried out at Campus West. Tickets available in advance from www.hertsjazz.co.uk/currentseason.html are £3 students/£8 members/£10 concessions/£11 full and on the door they are £5 students/£9 members/£11 concessions/£13 full.
