Multiple award-winner on the British jazz scene, pianist David Newton, is performing the second concert in a series at the Maltings Arts Theatre in St Albans next Saturday, March 29.
Jazz Pianists’ Spring: A Special Trilogy is presented by Fansofstan, the locally-based group set up to honour the late Stan Tracey, and it got underway with a performance from The Leon Greening Trio last month
David Newton will be playing from 8pm with trumpeter and flugelhorn player Martin Shaw, bassist Alec Dankworth and drummer Sebastiaan De Krom.

The final strand of Jazz Pianists’ Spring is Saturday, April 26, with a visit from Reuben James.
