One year on, the Live Music Project will be celebrating its success with a party next Saturday, April 26.

Performing on the first birthday evening will be The Tuesday Club with support from The Vulz, Chameleon Boy and Dodobones.

Set up and spearheaded by Trestle’s Denise Parsons, the community project to host live music and involve the local community has been met with tremendous support.

She said: “Since our launch in April 2013 we have showcased over 40 bands and welcomed over 1,000 people through Trestle’s doors. It was my hope to get people involved in the local music scene and to raise the profile of Trestle Arts Base and I couldn’t be more proud to have developed this idea into a very successful monthly event.”

Headliners The Tuesday Club have a look and style that falls somewhere between The Rocky Horror show, Oh Boy!, Carry On Screaming, a BBC period drama and Dad’s Army. There will also be a special announcement on the night which is for over-14s with free admission. It gets underway at the Trestle Arts Base in Russet Drive, St Albans, from 7.30pm.
