A tribute to the legendary Ronnie Scott will be held at Herts Jazz Club this Sunday, January 24.
The gig, which begins at 7.30pm, will be led by saxophonist Mornington Lockett joined by trumpeter Dick Pearce and pianist John Critchinson who formed a major role in Ronnie’s sextet for many years.
Bass Tim Wells and drummer Trevor Tomkins made regular appearances with Ronnie at his club.
The quintet will present Ronnie’s preferred choice of material in his own style when they perform at the club at the Hawthorne Theatre in Welwyn Garden City.
Tickets in advance from here are £3 students/£8 members/£10 concessions/£11 full.
On the door they are £5 students/£9 members/£12 concessions/£13 full.
