ST Albans Centurions Under 14s climbed further up the London Junior League table with a stunning victory over London Skolars at Colney Heath on Saturday.

Aaron Chandler scored a hat trick of tries and five goals while Man of the Match James Boggis also claimed a try and was the top tackler.

Other try scorers were Joshua Thompson, Aaron Greig (two), Adam Pearce (two) and George Reynolds who bagged two tries and stood out with some outstanding rugby.

The Cents started well and breached the Londoners defence with some fast running while at the other end they were solid.

Tony Bottomley, Cents Chairman praised the team. He said: "It was great to see these boys putting into practice things that they have been taught in training. These lads are all fairly new to rugby league and they are playing in a competition against some other teams that have been playing for several years. Today it all just seemed to gel in this game. These lads are the future of St Albans Rugby League club."

The squad will be treated to pizzas all round on Friday at the clubhouse, in Colney Heath as a reward for achieving three wins on the bounce.
