World Cup winner Martin Peters hands out award to Markyate side

DURING the Bank Holiday weekend Markyate Village Under 9s team went to Weymouth to enter the Mini Soccer Tour.

Various teams from around the country entered and played matches over two days. Martin Peters (England World Cup 1966 Scorer) presented each team member with their Team Player Award and Markyate Village won the Sportsmanship trophy which was given to manager Phil Prior and captain Mitchell Chaney.
