A PROFESSIONAL cyclist from the Harpenden team, Plowman Craven, has been chosen to compete against elite cyclists from around the world.
Evan Oliphant will ride alongside some of the world's best cyclists, including members of the Victoria State Institute of Sport, in Australia with competitors riding around the 2km circuit in the sweltering heat and battling the rough terrain.
Oliphant has already won two races in a row at the Ballarat Criteriums.
Evan is participating in Australian road races up until February next year to build up his stamina for the UK season and he hopes for more wins Down Under before he returns home.
