Exe Ladies 1 St Albans Ladies 2
ANNA Shaw struck late in the second half as St Albans Ladies continued their good form with a win at Exe in the Women's National South.
Amy Collins gave the Saints the lead on half time when she netted from open play but the lead was soon cancelled out. Kate Granger delivered the right response for the home side when she shot home on 38 minutes for 1-1.
St Albans fought on and Shaw again proved in the right place to net her eighth of the season, with five minutes left to seal a 2-1 away win.
Albans remain in sixth place in the table, five points behind Exe as they chase a top-five spot. They return to Clarence Park with a 1.30pm start against Horsham Ladies at Clarence Park on Saturday.
