After their poor showing against champions-elect Mill Lane, Wheathampstead Wanderers bounced back with a 4-0 win at Thundridge.
Wheato’s natural number 10 Danny Jefferies headed home to set his team on their way.
Goals then followed from Frankie Buckler, Oli Haddon and Alex Fisher.
Rory Scott was man of the match, dynamic and unstoppable in Wanderers’ midfield.
Cup holders Wheathampstead could yet clinch the double but will have to win all their last four games and rely on other results to go their way.
This Saturday they have a crucial double-header at home against Park Lane.
