Hemel Rovers 1 Wheathampstead Wanderers 3
WHEATHAMPSTEAD finally gained their first league win of the season against top dogs Hemel Rovers in a gritty away game on Saturday.
Rovers were first to score but another clinical Rob Clark penalty put Wanderers back in the game.
A double sending-off reduced both sides to 10 men before half-time with George Spooner unfortunate to receive his marching orders having been felled by a punch from a Hemel forward.
The extra space on the park suited the young Wheato side much more than their opponents in the second half and the Wanderers put on their best display of passing football this season.
