St Albans Striders were out in force at the Garden City 10 mile race on Sunday which, despite its name, ran from Wheathampstead to Ayot Green and back via Brocket Park over a hilly rural course.
Gary Warren finished fourth with Wendy Webster taking the trophy for first lady finisher. Pictured at the finish are Mark Taplin, Graham Smith, Warren and Webster.
In the Ealing half marathon, Martin Whitworth finished in 1hr 21mins 52secs, Simon Fraser in a personal best (1:23:49), Wendy Walsh (1:34:17) and Ian Hirth (1:51:04). Doug Hobson ran the Felixstowe Coastal 10 miler in a personal best of 1hr 9mins 2secs.
In the Moor Park 10k, Helen Cartlidge finished third lady. In the Ostend Marathon Jack Brooks finished in 3hrs 54mins 31secs.
