Verulamianss RFC’s U14s came out on top 47-0 in a friendly against Watford.

Despite missing a number of backs, Vees ran in seven unanswered tries in a one-sided match. Harry Brown scored three tries on his debut and Jack Leming scored a great winger’s try in his first game back this season.

The U13s, which is made up of players from Vees and Tabard, lost 58-5 to Chess Valley.

There were still some positives: despite being well beaten, the boys kept going to the end and got their reward as Jack Liversidge drove through the Chess Valley defence before being held up short. However, Dylan Simms was on hand to pick up the ball and dive over for a well-deserved try with the last play of the match.
