West Herts League
Oxhey Wanderers 5
Wheathampstead Wanderers 6
WHEATHAMPSTEAD won by the odd goal in 11 in this extraordinary game.
Throughout the match Wanderers led 1-0, trailed 4-2, were 5-3 behind and then won 6-5.
Man of the Match Alex Vaughn raced through to score the winner in the dying seconds with his second of the match.
Earlier Frankie Buckler and Jason Ling both converted their penalties and reluctant substitute Kev Buckler stabbed home Wheato’s fourth. Rob Clark scored with a fabulous left-foot volley from 25 yards to tie the game at 5-5 before Vaughn wrapped up the points.
