Verulamians Rugby Club’s fantastic early-season form shows no sign of stopping with a 50-7 win over UCS Old Boys making it four wins from four in Herts Middlesex One.
They are the only undefeated side in the league and from the outset Vees forwards excelled in the scrum and the loose.
They manufactured the first try in the opening minutes with Harry Mack charging over.
George Harding, as he did systematically throughout the game, added the conversion.
Both Seymour brothers, George and Joe crossed the line before a weaving run from the half-way line also saw Josh Goddard score, giving Vees a 33-0 half-time lead.
Although UCSOB tightened their resolve in the second half they were unable to halt Tom Maile slipping through, before Adam Russell delivered the final two death blows to see Verulamians home and secure their place at the top of the table.
The only downside was the potential long-term injury to Sam Crowne who departed with suspected knee ligament and hamstring pulls.
