Verulamians comprehensively beat Haringey Rhinos 57-14 to retain fifth spot in Herts/Middlesex 1.
Vees dominated ever facet of the game to run in nine tries, with six of them converted by Gareth Waters.
Man of the match George Irwin scored three tries. His final try saw him surge from within his own 22, past the Haringey defence and under the posts.
The forwards, as in previous weeks, provided an enviable amount of possession and turnover ball which fed a back division to experiment with many adventurous moves. The half-backs, Waters and Sam Townsend, ran the show and presented the opposition with so many problems that, from the outset, it seemed a foregone conclusion that a heavy defeat would be inflicted.
For Vees’ last league home game of the season at Cotlandswick there will be the annual Vice President’s Lunch, which will be followed by a match against Feltham, 3pm kick-off.
