Mid Herts Golf Club’s PGA Professional Lucy Williams starts her US Open campaign today at Pinehurst in North Carolina.
Williams tees off at 1.57pm GMT alongside Ecuador’s Paula Hurtado and Hannah Pietila of the USA.
She will be joined by her dad, Dave, a former professional, who will be her caddy.
The Wheathampstead-based golfer, the granddaughter of former world speedway champion Freddie Williams, qualified for the US Open by shooting a 144 at an international sectional in Buckinghamshire.
