Ayo-Oluwa Olukotun and Cameron Furley were among 30 U15 players invited to the NatWest Schools Cup Academy Day at England’s training base of Pennyhill Park.

The invitation was a reward for their performances during this year’s NatWest Schools Cup and they were joined by Matt Kvesic, Dave Attwood and Mark Cueto as well as Robshaw.

The young players were put through their paces by leading strength and conditioning coaches before reviewing their performances in a video session lead by England’s analysists.

Throughout the day, the players also took part in photo and filming shoots to truly experience the demands on elite rugby players, both on and off the pitch.

Cueto said: “The level of quality at the NatWest Schools Cup Academy Day was extremely high.

“English rugby is in a good place following the Grand Slam win and the calibre of players on show suggests we have a promising future to look forward to as well.

“Ayo-Oluwa and Cameron performed consistently throughout this NatWest Schools Cup and their contribution to St Albans’ season has been rightfully rewarded.”

St Albans made it past St George’s Harpenden and Bishop’s Stortford High before going out 19-14 to Bedford.
