ANDY CLAPP is looking ahead to a trip to Turkey later in the year.

He and an amateur club partner, Martin Hoskyn, who had won the Brickendon Grange club medal round to join his professional in the competition, went on to win the regional final of the PGA National Pro-am at Old Fold Manor.

They returned a six under par better ball round of 65, with Peter Cherry and Darren Charlton (Tilsworth) tied second on five under.

"It is a welcome win, as last year after a tie I was beaten on a card countback," said Clapp. "And it was the then Brickendon Grange pro Graham Tippett who pipped me!
