Harpenden Town returned from Stony Stratford without any points and pondering how they didn’t win a game that they dominated.
For 100 minutes, the referee added on 10 for time wasting, Harpenden had all the attacking impetus but only one goal to show for their efforts. Ben Warren put them in front, heading in debutant Jake Collins’ cross to open the scoring.
Stony pulled a goal back, another header as the pitch wasn’t conducive with passing football, before stealing a win with their only attack of the second half.
Town are at home on Saturday, 3pm kick-off
