St Albans Rangers

WINGER Tom Bailey was named Man of the Match by his teammates as the Under 16s fought heroically against Alexandra Park East. At 4-0 down, Rangers needed a response and Dan Orchard and Jack Faulder scored, with Ben Patrickson very unlucky to hit the bar before time ran out. Goalkeepers Jack Faulder and Matt Lawrence both played well during stints between the posts.

The Under 13s were no match for premier division leaders, Bushey Rangers Eagles, in this Challenge Cup fixture. A re-arranged line up could not cope with the Eagles tidy passing and incisive moves. Heroics in goal by Edward Tsang, stopping two penalties, were not enough to see Rangers beaten soundly 10-0. Man of the Match was Omar Ech-Chadli.

With just six players, the Under 10s Blues put in a battling display as they went down 6-0 to AC Finchley. In poor conditions Rangers defended well with Ryan Flanagan and Alex Curtis putting up a strong fight, however the extra man for Finchley soon made a difference. Jack Simpson and Harry Mardell had a number of attempts at goal. Daniel Angus was named Man of the Match for his determination throughout. The Under 10s Red won 3-1 against Oxhey United Eagles in a match played in great spirit. Daniel Bradly opened the scoring and Josh Emmins fired in a superb second and crashed a free kick home to claim his second. Outstanding goalkeeper Bradley Lima was named Man of the Match.
