The District are now building up to a very busy July with five fixtures scheduled.
TOWNSEND had success in both the EBA two fours over Buntingford and the Bob Vise over local rivals St Albans at the weekend.

They won the EBA two fours with a score of 46-25 and triumphed in the Bob Vise by five disciplines to nil. Townsend now move on to play Royston and Harpenden.
The club lost their District League match to Hatfield losing on all rinks and by 80 points to nil but they reversed this on Sunday beating North Mymms by three rinks to one and by 65 points to 15.

Next Saturday sees Townsend play the EBA top club on Saturday morning and Shire Park in the afternoon.
BATCHWOOD Hall Ladies continued their run of good luck with a 43-43 draw at Dunstable on Monday.
The top rink were Freda Dyer, Doris King and Barbara Palmer who won 21-6.
The spell of good fortune ended when the ladies suffered their first defeat of the season on Tuesday in their match against Garston losing by one shot overall - Batchwood 42 Garston 43.
The only winning rink was Babs O'Brien, Barbara Palmer and Pam Ward.
In the County singles competition second round Liz Schlatter beat Jackie Bell 21-17.
District Competitions: Singles - P Waller (Batchwood) 22 K Maynard (Berkhamstead) 7; Triples - Batchwood 28 (R Singh, E Jacobs and J Bell) Harperbury 4 (J Gilson, V Tammaro and L Haskins).
In the second round of the over 55s National Singles Batchwood's John Bell beat Joe Dunne of Sele Farm 21-12.
ST Albans Bowls Club played in the third round of the National Top Club Women's Competition away at Shire Park BC last Saturday.
It was a warm day with plenty of sunshine and some good bowling on all four rinks.
The first rink finished was the singles, Tricia Gascoine of St Albans beat May Gunn by 21-16.
The fours had a very close tussle and ended up drawing 13-13.
The St Albans fours were Maggie Kendrick, Sybil Steers, Jacy Farrer and skip Jill Morris.
The triples finished next, St Albans losing 12-17 but only after the team of Sylvia Cooper, Jean Budd and Joan Courtney had put up a strong fight.
The pairs team of Pauline Gardiner and skip Doreen Gray were involved in a cliff-hanger but eventually lost 20-22.
Shire Park won the game by 21/2 points to 11/2 points on the four disciplines. The shot difference between the two clubs was only two, St Albans winning 66 shots to Shire Park's 68.
The St Albans Team Manager Maureen Grimward, and the reserves Margaret Christy and Marjorie Knight supported the team throughout the four rounds of the competition (St Albans having had to play in the preliminary round too) and all stated it was more nerve racking watching than playing.
Unfortunately, the President of St Albans, Bernice Burden, was unable to play in this round of the competition due to a prior engagement but sent her good wishes to all the players.
