Tabard/Verulamians U13 beat Teddington B 40-29 in a hard-fought win in the Saracens Herts Middlesex Junior League Division Five.
TV looked to have taken control of the match in the sunshine in Middlesex with two early trys from Dylan Simms and conversions from Sam Lee, however Teddington reduced the deficit to 14-7. The two-try advantage was soon restored as Alex Shaw touched down and Sam Lee added the conversion.
Teddington came back with 12 unanswered points before the break to turn around 21-19 behind.
The teams exchanged tries early in the second half before the visitors pulled away thanks to tries from Shaw and Simms, plus a conversion from Lee. There was still time for Teddington to add another try, but TV’s were able to hold on to win 40–29.
