George Sykes has been named as St Albans City’s player of the month for April.
The award, sponsored by Harpenden Construction Limited, was presented to the striker prior to the Biggleswade game by Chris Aikman and Sam Rolfe, on behalf of the Radio Verulam West Herts Drivetime Team, the April sponsors.
Sykes, on loan from Barnet, scored the winning goal against Biggleswade and started the game against Banbury. He made an appearance off the bench in City’s goalless draw against champions Hemel Hempstead and was an unused substitute against Poole Town.
