STRIKER Akanni Sunday Wasiu has signed a contract to remain with St Albans City until the end of the season.
Wasiu known as Sunday scored his first City goal in the crushing 4-1 at Clarence Park against Basingstoke Town on Saturday. The powerful forward initially signed a one month contract with City to secure his international clearance from the Lithuanian FA where he had previously played.
After the game on Saturday, Sunday celebrated his goal by putting pen to paper on a deal until the end of the season. His partnership with Paul Hakim in attack has blossomed in recent weeks and the strike duo will be looking to shoot down league leaders Lewes when City travel to the Dripping Pan on Saturday.
