ST Albans Striders made the short journey to Borehamwood to compete in the half marathon on Sunday.
In warm conditions there were some excellent performances as Blake Vivian finished second overall in 77.41 and Karlwinder Hayer was fifth in 83.55. Colin Braybrook took 10th place in 87 minutes and Ian Hilder finished 13th in 87.30. Striders took first place in the men's team event.
Other Striders times: Trevor Clements 90.13, Ranjiet Kainth 93.34, Richard Bentley 108.49, Mike Barrowman 111.45, Jonathan Barrett 114.49, Carol Ransom 115.17 and Helen Durance 137.03.
l Striders were beaten by Garden City runners in the third fixture of the Herts Road Race League at Chingford last Wednesday and will now need to win the last race in St Albans on Thursday, July 3, to become champions.
