Sixteen new Year 7 students had their first experience of representing STAGS at The St Albans Mob Race.

Over 250 girls from across the St Albans and Harpenden area descended on Sandringham School to take part in annual cross country race. STAGS students were excited but nervous at the start line before the race but after a long hard run in the roaring sun, all the students finished in magnificent style with three Stags students coming in the top 10.

Laura Gifford finished third, Georgina Bentley fifth and Anouk Denton seventh.

Head of PE Lauren Cripps said: “We were all delighted when it was announced that, yet again, STAGS had been triumphant and won their first piece of silverware of the new academic year.

“Well done to all girls who took part and we look forward to the rest of the cross country season and hope for more success in the future.”
