ST Peter's were suffered a goalkeeping nightmare as they were crushed by Debden Sports on Saturday.
Regular goalkeeper Colin Pigott was unable to make the game and Darren Shea had to take over between the posts. Shea lasted just 10 minutes before he suffered a bad leg injury when making a brave save at the feet of a Debden striker.
Craig Staughton came off the bench to replace Shea and was soon picking the ball out of the net. By half time the score was 3-0 to Debden.
Errors in defence allowed Debden to add several soft goals to the tally. The Saints managed a consolation strike in reply when Craig Chapman cracked the ball home from 25 yards out.
