St Albans school shares 10-10 draw with Colchester in Final
YOUTH RUGBY: ST COLUMBA’S College enjoyed success at the inaugural Brentwood 15-a-side pre-season tournament.
St Columba’s had a tough group with Bishop Stortford College and Campion school from Essex as well as Iselworth and Syon school. They beat Bishop Stortford 10-7, Campion 12-0 and Isleworth 26-7 to top their group and play Colchester RGS in the main final who won the other strong pool. With players now missing after taking knocks in the earlier matches, they managed to draw 10-10 in the final.
Coach Steve Robins said “It was an excellent performance in the final, and one which matched the attitude, courage and skill level demonstrated by the entire team all day. Each player made a significant contribution to the success and represented St Columba’s College with distinction.”
