The Christmas holidays did not prevent St Albans Striders from putting their best foot forward up and down the country.
Jenny Maddocks and Errol Maginley both finished the hilly Pednor 10 mile race in Chesham in 1 hour and 12 minutes on Sunday.
Not to be outdone, Jen Conway completed the Turkey Trot 10K in Ayr in 42:18 and was fifth senior lady.
Many Striders took the opportunity to complete an extra parkrun on Christmas Day, either in St Albans or in other parts of the country such as Edinburgh, Lee-on-the-Solent, Southampton, Eastleigh, Brockwell in London, Tring, Watford, Hertford, Aylesbury and Harlow.
St Albans Striders is a friendly local club catering for all types of runners, meeting at 7pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays by the Westminster Lodge athletics track building.
